Q: why do I have to book seven nights?

A: cma is a small "boutique backpacker" for international travellers looking for "...more like a home than hostel". Yes, we are a long term working hostel.

"Long term" means you are living with people who are also wanting to live and work in Melbourne for a few months. It's like being in a shared family home and you become part of the family!!

Importantly, you will have less disruptions to your room and a more comfortable stay. We make it easier to meet people and find work.

Q: can you help me find work?

A: cma has great local knowledge and work contacts. Everybody is doing the same thing as you!

Q: how big are the shared rooms?

A: cma has dorms with two bunk beds (up to four people per room) and we do our best to give you as much room as possible. We also have six bed dorms for larger groups.

All rooms have hanging space and drawers for storage. Lockers are also available.

Q: do you have free parking available?

A: cma has free off-street parking - that will save you money.

Q: do you have internet and wifi available?

A: cma has internet and wifi - plus a fantastic video library!!
